BACKGROUND

WYNDHAM HOTELS AND RESORTS
 
Director Of International Sales: August 1997 - October 2005.
 
  • Developed global awareness and established international sales and marketing systems for a predominantly domestic USA focused hotel company pre-1997.
     
  • Developed and implemented sales and operational SOPs for effective servicing of the international market at over 150 Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
     
  • Integrated over 90 new properties to the international sales program to the Wyndham system between 1997-2005.
     
  • Established all international pricing and contracting for system-wide international contracting agreements for all properties.
     
  • Opened and managed the operations of a network of General Sales Agent offices covering 12 countries in Europe and 7 countries in Latin America.
     
  • Directed the international inbound sales efforts from all global markets to USA/Canada/Caribbean properties covering all market segments, with primary focus on key tour operator/wholesaler partners.
     
  • Awarded “Sales Office of the Year” as director of the International Sales Office among 9 NSO offices in 2003 for highest revenue growth percentage year on year.
     
  • Chosen among top 15 sales personnel in a company of over 1500 sales employees, based on subjective and objective performance criteria to serve on the President's Advisory Circle in 2003.
     
  • Served on the Circle of Excellence committee based on top percentage performers in the company 2003-2005.
     
  • Awarded National Sales Person of the Year – Specialty Markets 2004.
     
  • Produced the highest percentage year on year revenue growth encompassing all market segments from National Sales perspective each year from 2001-2005 (YTD October) inclusive.
     
  • Successfully positioned Wyndham product from relative unknown to one of the leading hotel companie in the leading international tour operator programs from all major European feeder markets.
     
  • Created on-line booking engine and dedicated link for international tour operators enabling them to make real time bookings and confirmations through a direct interface with our web booking engine, an industry first.
     

RENAISSANCE HOTELS AND RESORTS
 
Director of International Sales: August 1993 – July 1997.
 
International Sales Office – Los Angeles, CA
 
  • Responsible for the integration of 20 four and five star Stouffer Hotels and Resorts acquired by Renaissance in May 1993 into the global sales network of the Renaissance brand (Ramada International).
     
  • Directed the international sales and marketing activities of the 39 Renaissance Hotels and Resorts in North America and the Caribbean with a primary focus on inbound market from Asia/Pacific region.
     
  • Managed Japan based sales manager for the Americas.
     
  • Developed handbook, educational seminars, SOPs, system-wide FIT pricing and contracting for the properties.
     
  • Created and led multiple sales missions to Asia.
     
  • Increased international market revenues inbound to the Americas an average of 38% annually 1994-1996.
     

RENAISSANCE HOTEL FALLSVIEW
 
Director of Sales and Marketing: 1986-1988, General Manager: 1988-1993.
 
Niagara Falls, Canada
 
  • Managed and directed staff of 250+ employees and achieved AAA 4 diamond rating consecutive years 1989-1993.
     
  • Awarded with achievement of “Highest GOP 1992” within the division of 9 Renaissance Hotels in Canada.
     
  • Originated the concept and directed the conversion, expansion and re-branding of the hotel from Ramada Hotel Fallsview to Renaissance Hotel Fallsview 1989-1991.
     
  • As General Manager, led sales efforts for international markets which comprised 80%+ of revenues for the hotel.
     
  • Pioneered Canada's most comprehensive Japanese Guest Service Program in 1988 (featured in Los Angeles Times) which was enhanced annually to establish hotel as a leading hotel for Japanese market – leading to growth from 1,000 room nights annually in 1997 to over 30,000 room nights annually in 1992, which led to promotion taking newly created position heading international sales efforts based in Los Angeles for the newly expanded company in 1993.
